AG HCSF CHARGES CIVIL SERVANTS TO RE-DEDICATE THEIR SERVICE TO THE NATION

The Ag Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan has said that re-dedication, discipline and commitment to work are the sure ways to achieving the desired transformation in the Civil Service.

Dr Yemi – Esan gave this charge at the occasion of the special thanksgiving service to commemorate this year Civil Service Week held at the Living Faith Church, Jahi, FCT, Abuja on Sunday, 21st September, 2019

 

The Acting Head of Civil Service of the Federation (Ag HCSF) who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Culture, Deaconess, Grace Gekpe said the essence of the Civil Service Week Celebration was to reflect on our achievements as workers and also work out Strategies that would transform the Service, noting that the Civil Service Week is a World Wide event and we are joining the whole world in the celebration.

 

She reiterated that with the on-going reform programmes, the Federal Government is set to implement a lot of policies that would enable us achieve our goals.

 

Furthermore, she called on workers to have a change of attitude to work and put in their very best in the discharge of their duties. “So I charge all of us that this is the time to work and not to play”.

 

The Ag HCSF expressed her appreciation to God Almighty, who has been good and faithful to the workers. She also extended her gratitude to the resident pastor of the Living Faith Church, Jahi, Chris Abraham for accepting to host the event.

 

 In his speech, Pastor Chris Abraham commended workers for their immense contribution towards Nation building. He noted that, the Nigerian Civil Service has some of the best brains in the world, it is for this reason and many more that Nigerian workers need to be celebrated.

He prayed God to continue to guide and keep the workers in the service to the country

 

The dignitaries at the event includes; the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Deaconess, Grace Gekpe; Permanent Secretary, Service Policy and Strategy Office (OHCSF) Dr. Magdalene Ajani; Permanent Secretary, Common Service Office (OHCSF) Dr Bakari Wadinga; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs,  Mrs. Didi Walson – Jack; Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, William Alo; Permanent Secretary, Special Duties, Mr. Philip Aduda; Permanent Secretary, Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Christian Ohaa;  Directors  and staff of OHCSF.

The theme for the 2019 Civil Service week is celebration is “The Intersection of Youth Empowerment and Migration: Entrenching the Culture of Good Governance, ICT and Innovation for Inclusive Service Delivery.”
