HEAD OF SERVICE TO RESTORE THE INTEGRITY IN THE FEDERAL CIVIL SERVICE

In continuing efforts to ensure efficient and effective service delivery in the Federal Civil Service, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has assured the Federal Public Servants of her mission to restore the integrity and dignity of the service.

                Mrs. Winifred Oya-Ita gave the assurance on Tuesday, January 23th 2018 in Abuja during her briefing of the activities and achievement of the office of the Head of Civil Service in the last year.

She said her vision is to create a core value system in the service by introducing innovative and proactive programme and policies aimed at turning the Civil Service into an efficient world class service in line with vision 20:2020.

                She revealed that one of the key programme embarked upon by the OHCSF since she assume office is centered on the Strategic Implementation Plan (2017 – 2020) to reposition the Federal Civil Service.

                Counting on her achievements in the office, she said she has put in necessary infrastructure for the review of the takeoff of the Human Resources (HR) module of the IPPIS, and put in place Performance Management System (P.MS) policy guideline and tools to develop the Federal Public Service.  Mrs. Oyo – Ita also disclose the recent out of court settlements of the promotion examination issue of the Deputy Directors (Administration) which has been pending for the past three years.  While she equally revealed that a tripartite committee on the upward review of the salary and allowances of the Civil Servants is also on-going.

                The Head of Service concluded by challenging Civil Servants to show commitment and dedication which is centered to the achievement of Efficient, Productive, Incorruptible and Citizens Centre Civil Service.
